New Book. Maybe.

I think I've started a new book, provisional title 'The Third Realm.' I say I *think* I've started, because you can never be sure it's going to work until it works. In the old days, I reckoned that if a book passed the 10,000 word mark it was going to go the distance. Now I can usually spot a goer a bit sooner. At the moment the word count is under 500, so you can appreciate the hesitation. But I'm hopeful. The central character is interesting and so is the overall theme.

May not move fast, however: I'm horribly diverted by 'Strictly Come Dancing' and 'I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.'

does 'The third Realm' have anything to do with another realm other than Faeire land and the Anolouge world, but they are connected somehow?

Clever question. 'The Third Realm' is an extension of my ideas about the nature of faerie (not to mention daimons, demons, spirits etc) and will hopefully expand on the rationale that appears in 'Faerie Wars.' I caught the title from a review of Patrick Harpur's non-fiction book, 'Daimonic Reality' which I'd heartily recommend to anybody interested in this whole area.

Herbie, have you considered setting up a forum divided into sections, where we can all discuss the various topics which are the subject of your literature and our interest?

It would be a good melting pot of ideas and could provide feedback for and generate interest in future projects. Might be worth looking into.

Interesting idea, but I don't know how to set up a forum.

Unfortunately, neither do I. My experience with forums has been strictly limited to participation.

I suspect that the numerous free message boards available are on the lower end of the quality scale and are riddled with advertising. However, a lot of fairly popular websites I have visited make successful use of these.

They do require some administration and a little knowledge of computers and the internet to maintain. I will look into the specifics of it and let you know what I find.

I'm a big fan of your work, my close friend and I hang on every "Faerie Wars" chronicle... we have hope in you Mr. Herbie Brennan!

Thank you. The new book is currently going quite well, incidentally.

This seems to be the most popular free message board provider.

To set it up you need to choose a website name and provide a URL. You should then be able to customise the fonts and backgrounds fairly easily via menus.
